My topic was influenced by the concern of how we over extract the natural resources in the environment. According to Sustainable Europe Research Institute, humanity’s rapidly growing consumption of these resources is causing severe damage. They also state that in order to continue to thrive on this planet, our lifestyles will need to become more sustainable, so that we are able to protect our natural resource base and the fragile eco-systems on our planet. The system in which we find a source for our problems can help then get it but through the help of all throughout the world.
This influenced it economically because of large corporations that build a system to provide only themselves with a large sum of money to make that system to extract large amounts of natural resources to maintain the power of money over any type of place around the world. By creating a system to gain more money by making a level of maintenance to watch and in a higher power of government i which can make loopholes that they do not have to follow but will prosecute fellow competitors in the same system to gain more money through extraction.
This influenced it in how it affects social problems such as human rights violations and poor working conditions.According to Sustainable Europe Research Institute these negative environmental and social impacts are most strongly felt in African, Latin American and Asian countries with low environmental and social standards. Many parts of these areas many think that these are the ways that they have to live because these are the only they know how to live by. The poor understanding to right and wrong to those who live in these situations because they only know that the system build around them through those that build that system to control and maintain the power that they already hold between the two cultures of people i the world.
This influenced it politically through how the richest people have a lot more power through controlling how much they can extract and setting the bar for those who may need to get the proper to build up any or every way to make it a better way to live in high populated areas. The poorest and developing have little to no power over the way the can extract the needed things the need to live a healthy life but also through the environment they live in. Many poor developing countries live in polluted areas of living with contaminated water supplies and with limited resources to proper health care for infant children and elders in the communities/villages they make live in.
This explains that during this time period because it introduces the consumpt of that money can buy and maintain a good life to live in. This consumption is a big deal through the years because it shows how many of those who could not compete with the richer and more powerful in the industry of consumerism was left with the bits and pieces of all the bad parts. These were left to those that could not say anything due to the fact that many could not afford such support from others that were also using that to their advantage.
Effects of Industrial Era
According to SERI , the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century launched the most important change in natural resource use to date. With the use of fossil fuels – at first coal, later also oil and gas – suddenly much more energy was available to man-kind. Through over consumption this energy has been decreased steadily throughout that time period. The misuse and lack of responsibility of all the rich corporations behind all the extract possible around this areas during this time period. The extraction that keeps on giving the power and control to those that created the system of how to continue on to abuse the system especially those beneath that do not and know that those people suffer the most throughout this whole process.
